Will a list help me carry out my goals ?

Browsing the great spider web in a slow hour I stumbled upon a couple of ideas, that I really have heard about before, but it still got me thinking. Some people take an effort of setting up a list. A list of the 50, 100,  or as many as they want, things to do in life before they “leave”. Vision Map. Life list. Bucket list. Seen the movie The Bucket List ? Anyway, whatever we call it, the general idea is that by setting up a list of the activities you want to get done or goals you wish meet you will easier achieve it. By writing them down or setting them up like a collage with pictures you first of all will start to think about them and maybe steer your life more in the direction of achieving. If you also examine them twice a year you should be able to maybe cross something off and get a refresh of your ideas and evaluate how you are doing realizing your dreams.
Then the question is really; does it help? You try and see for yourself if you want..
